Video Wall Touch Screens — Spliced & Interactive

Make a spliced video wall touchable: large-format IR frames and splicing touch frames engineered for multi-panel walls.

Large video wall made interactive with a touch frame

Making a wall of screens touchable

A video wall earns its cost when people stop presenting at it and start working on it. The touch layer for a spliced wall is a large-format infrared system: the manufacturer's catalogue lists a dedicated splicing touch frame, a 93-inch DIY frame positioned for video wall use, and a frame programme supplier-specified from 15 to 500 inches. The company profile's own product list includes splicing screens — this is a regime the factory builds for, not an experiment.

How wall touch is built

The frame segments mount around the wall's outer perimeter; the sensing field spans the full surface as one coordinate space; calibration maps the field to the wall's pixel layout, bezels included. Content software then treats the wall as one very large touch display. The engineering discipline is in the details — wall flatness, segment joints, corner accuracy — which our splicing and calibration notes document, and in the product structure on the large format page.

When a wall should not be spliced

If the interactive area is really one presenter's reach — about two metres — a single 86 or 98-inch frame over one display does the job at a fraction of the system cost, and the rest of the wall stays a clean display surface. Splice when the interaction itself is the exhibit: data walls explored by several people, planning surfaces, museum interactives at architectural scale.

Wall projects are drawing-led. Send the wall layout — panel model, grid, overall dimensions, structure — and the quotation stage works from the drawing, including the calibration plan.
