MODEL CLASS LV-55 / LV55-17MM · RESPONSE < 8 MS · USB
The kiosk-and-classroom workhorse
The 55-inch infrared frame line is represented in the catalogue by two closely related listings: the LV-55, specified for infrared touch frame duty in kiosks, and the LV55-17MM high-precision interactive open-frame variant. Together they describe the 55-inch point of the programme: aluminium alloy construction, USB connection with single-cable power, and — on the LV-55 listing — a touch response time of under 8 milliseconds, fast enough that pen lag is not a conversation in the classroom and tap latency is invisible in a kiosk UI. Touch points are listed at 10 points on the LV-55 specification and 20 points on the 17MM variant's specification, which is why the quotation stage confirms the exact build against the drawing: the family gives you a choice of sensing density at the same diagonal.

Why 55 inches, and when to step up or down
Fifty-five inches is the largest size that still ships and installs like a consumer television: one-person handling, standard VESA mounts, and freight that does not need a crate strategy. It is the default specification for single-user kiosks, reception signage, small meeting rooms (up to about six seats) and primary-school classrooms where the back row sits within five metres. Step up to the 65-inch frame when two users must work simultaneously or the room deepens past six metres; step down to the 43-inch kit for counter-height terminals and machine housings. The size guide gives the measuring method that turns "about 55 inches" into an exact frame order.
Integration notes
The LV-55's kiosk positioning is not marketing decoration: at 55 inches the frame sits in the size band where self-service terminals stop being countertop units and become furniture. Specify the mounting at inquiry stage — flush into a furniture recess, or bezel-mounted on a commercial display — because the profile fixing differs. For open-frame machine builds, the 17MM variant's open-frame designation is the correct starting SKU; the open frame page covers housing integration in depth.
A note on evidence
Every figure on this page traces to the manufacturer's own catalogue listings for this model class — dimensions, touch points, interface and stated standards are quoted from those listings, and anything the listings leave open (certification documents for a specific build, confirmed lead time for a specific quantity) is confirmed at quotation rather than filled in here. That discipline is deliberate: a specification page that invents nothing is the only kind worth engineering against, and it is why the inquiry asks for your display model — so the reply can be written against your unit, with the drawing, instead of against a generic diagonal.
10 or 20 touch points — which should I order?
For kiosk UI and single-presenter teaching, 10 points is functionally complete. Choose the 20-point build when two people annotate simultaneously or your software uses multi-hand gestures.
Is the frame suitable for portrait signage?
Yes — the frame is orientation-agnostic; declare portrait mounting in the inquiry so cable exit and profile joints are placed correctly.
